Letter from National Director in Liberia - James Moore

Logos Hope Ship is the largest floating book fair. Learn more about their great work at http://www.gbaships.org/

This ship is huge and visits countries along the coast all over the world providing free training and books for further education. They were stationed in the port of Liberia for 3 weeks. In July an advanced team from Logos Hope visited with L.A.C.E.S. and this meeting was geared towards finding local NGO's they could partner with while in Liberia. There were a few volunteers on the ship who love spending their free time in the communities playing games with the children. L.A.C.E.S. was selected amongst hundreds of NGO's to host the volunteers in our Duport Road Community.

The kids had so much fun playing new games like train ride, and frog jump. These games made the children laugh and dance. Our children, staff, and coaches also benefited from Logos Hope by receiving books, shoes, and we learned more ways on how to mentor children through sports and fun games.

We had the privleage of attending special trainings for church workers and sports ministires. We attended 3 courses youth leadership, children Sunday School, and Sport Ministry trainings. We learned new ways on how to reach out to the communities and children and we have added some of their ideas to our curriculum in our effort to provide the best mentoring program in Liberia.

Thank you for your support!

Sincerely,

James Moore
